The Sporty Runner, a specialty running store, is located in downtown Conway, Arkansas, just 30 minutes Northwest of Little Rock. Downtown Conway is easy to get to from Interstate 40 and U.S. Highways 64 and 65.

The Sporty Runner was opened in 1999 by owner Linda Starr. Linda, an avid runner, made the decision to open her business after retiring from Southwestern Bell and noticing a lack of women's apparel and shoe fitting expertise in existing sporting goods stores in the central Arkansas area. Originally named The Sporty Lady, her business carried running shoes, apparel, accessories, and swimwear for women.

In 2001, Linda's son Don joined the business full time and men's running shoes and apparel were added. Because of the addition of mens's shoes and apparel, the name was changed to The Sporty Runner.

In 2004, The Sporty Runner moved from it's original location on Van Ronkle Street in to the newly remodeled building next door, it's current location at 1016 Van Ronkle. This move gave the Sporty Runner over twice as much space as the original building, and the ability to greatly expand the shoes, apparel, and accessories offered.

Today The Sporty Runner not only has a great selection of running shoes, apparel, and accessories, but we also stock cross country and track spikes, racing flats, technical swimwear for men and women year round, swimming goggles and training accessories, Pearl Izumi cycling shorts, and the largest variety of triathlon apparel for men and women in the state.

Morningside Bagels Cafe is a full service bagel bakery. We serve breakfast, lox and deli sandwiches on a bagel. Our fresh cream cheese schmears and Guillermo's coffee compliments our bagels. We serve espresso drinks hot and iced. Our soups and bagel chips have developed their own following.
